Combining analytics with other forms of detection equipment is very effective.  It allows the benefits of the detecting sensor along with the ultimate confirmation of a visual image.  This video depicts a fence sensor and two corresponding cameras.  Upon a fence alert, both cameras slew to the intrusion and subsequently track the intruder.
