PureTech Systems Recipient of Best Perimeter Protection Award

PureActiv® Video Analytics receives top video accolade in Homeland Security Awards competition.

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- PureTech Systems today announced that it is a winner in the 2017 Homeland Security Awards Program from Government Security News (GSN). PureActiv, the company’s map-based command and control enabled with long range video analytics took top honors for Best for Best Perimeter Protection, Intrusion Detection System.

PureActiv geospatial video analytics, currently deployed on the US-Mexico border, provides security professionals with accurate, real-time alarms and video of suspicious activity in outdoor and remote environments while minimizing nuisance alarms. The system’s patented video analytics leads the industry in probability of detection (PD) and false alarm rate (FAR) benchmarks. Additionally, the system’s user interface provides critical situational awareness in an easy to understand map-based display.

The key features submitted for the Best Perimeter Protection recognition include software-based video stabilization, patented multi-modal adaptive background modeling, deep-learning, shadow/highlight filtering, target classification, geo-intelligence and long range PTZ camera control analytics.

Additionally, the solution boasts a robust suite of sensor integrations, understanding that although video analytics alone is a very accurate and robust security solution, combining sensors can provide an even more accurate solution to increase detection, aid in classification, optimize sensor control and provide increased situation awareness. Current sensor integrations include: Access control, GPS, AIS, radar, laser range finders, intelligent fence, proximity sensors, gunshot detection, loud hailers, covert laser, illuminator/dazzlers, drones/UAVs.

This is the 9th year of the Homeland Security Awards competition which recognizes the accomplishments of technology companies, government agencies, scientists and executives, transportation and law enforcement agencies. Judging is based on a combination of an increase in client organization, technological innovation or improvement, filling a recognized security need and flexibility of the solution to meet current and future organizational needs.
