Video Analytics and Thermal Cameras

PureTech Systems is a software company that develops and markets PureActiv, its geospatial analytics solution designed to protect critical perimeters and perimeters. It’s patented video analytics leverage thermal cameras, radars and other sensors to detect, geo-locate, classify, and autonomously follow intruders of interest.

PureTech Systems’ AlertView command and control acts as a force multiplier by automating detection and only presenting security personnel with real threats in a geospatial common operating picture. Thermal cameras, and in particular high-resolution thermal cameras, work very well with PureTech Systems video analytics.  The primary reason is more pixels on target which allows a greater detection range, but in addition, thermal in general, eliminates a lot of the noise which is present with visible cameras, especially penetrating during low light or poor weather conditions.

Many joint installations that leverage PureTech Systems video analytics are sea ports, utilities, rail-roads, bridges, and military bases to name a few.

One of the unique features of PureActiv is PTZ auto follow.   The system first needs to know where to point the camera.  Through its video analytics algorithms, the PureActiv system provides this information in the form of latitude, longitude and elevation.  Once that is known, the system can now lock on the target and automatically follow them as they continue to maneuver.

PureTech System’s integration capability brings in radar tracks, thermal cameras, GPS feeds, performs friend and foe analysis, as well as video analytics, and presents all of this in one common operating picture to the security person.

The ability to understand range and bearing to targets along with high resolution thermal cameras, makes the solution a perfect fit for border applications.
